The Blueprint – Day 2

PROVERBS 31:11-12 says: “The heart of her husband trusts in her confidently and relies on and believes in her securely, so that he has no lack of [honest] gain or need of [dishonest] spoil. She comforts, encourages, and does him only good as long as there is life within her.”  AMPC

The Proverbs woman – even though she is a married woman, the virtues are still important and attainable regardless of whether you’re single, married, engaged or widowed.

We should want everyone we are in relationship with to feel this way about us! Are we as trustworthy as she is described? Do others truly rely on and believe in us to the point of confidence that creates no fear or doubt whatsoever? Do we provide comfort, encouragement and only good to others?

It sounds like a tall order but it’s attainable with God’s help!  It starts with our relationship with God and allowing Him to provide those same attributes in our lives. Then, being able to provide them to ourselves, and then to others.

We have to be able to trust ourselves as we trust in God, to be dependable as we depend on God, and to encourage ourselves as God encourages us! Then we can comfort, encourage and do only good for someone else. It all starts with God and our relationship with Him.

Action Step: I want to encourage you to take time to look at the questions asked above and identify how you are doing in each of these areas.  Are you trustworthy? Reliable? One who provides comfort and encouragement? If you’re not where you’d like to be in these areas, reflect on your relationship with God. Are you trusting and depending on God and allowing Him to develop these things inside of you and to be an encourager to you?
