It’s Worth It

“My fellow believers, when it seems as though you are facing nothing but difficulties, see it as an invaluable opportunity to experience the greatest joy that you can! For you know that when your faith is tested it stirs up power within you to endure all things. And then as your endurance grows even stronger it will release perfection into every part of your being until there is nothing missing and nothing lacking.”  James 1:2-4 TPT

We’re probably all familiar with these verses but I especially like this translation. It’s so very relatable. When we’re going through trials and they never seem to end it’s really difficult to keep this wisdom in mind, but if we do it will greatly help us.

I choose to look at it this way. I want perfection in every part of my being, with nothing missing or lacking. If that’s my goal then I know I have to increase my endurance. In order to do that I have to go through difficult things that test my faith.

If I look at these things as the greatest opportunity to experience joy it’s worth it!  It’s perspective. It’s knowing God’s heart. It’s embracing His Word. It’s keeping your mind on the truth. We can do hard things! It’s worth it!
