Justice & Peace

He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God.” Micah 6:8 NAS

I read somewhere that “Justice is the preemptive condition for peace, and peace is the preemptive condition for justice.” To do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly takes action.  We can’t sit idly by and watch the world erupt in violence and hatred and expect it to change.

We are empowered by the Holy Spirit to make peace, and doing so, by taking a stand against injustice, violence, and hatred.  Kindness is desperately needed in a world that is hurting and we are called to love it, to walk in it, and to show it, to everyone.  We can bring peace and justice, with love and truth, by humbling ourselves and reflecting Christ in all situations.
