Pursue the Promise

“And it shall come to pass in the last days, God declares, that I will pour out of My Spirit upon all mankind, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy [telling forth the divine counsels] and your young men shall see visions (divinely granted appearances), and your old men shall dream [divinely suggested] dreams.” Acts 2:17 AMPC

These are interesting days we find ourselves in. It can bring a range of emotions we’re not used to dealing with on a regular basis. But even among all the things that we see that we don’t like or enjoy, there are exciting things to look forward to.

As this verse says, God will pour out His Spirit on ALL flesh. We will be amazed at how normal it is to prophesy, have visions, heal people, truly walk in authority, etc. All those things are available to us now we just don’t see it operating in very many people so we think it’s reserved for only a few, or special ones.

The truth is, God wants us all walking in these things so we we be effective in this world. Just like He sent His Spirit on the ones in the upper room in Acts, He will fulfill this scripture very soon. I want to encourage you to not wait for that day, but to pursue the power of the Holy Spirit in your life now.
