Start the Journey

It’s curious how we can put off dealing with issues in our lives, sometimes for years. It’s as though we believe God doesn’t already know everything there is to know about us.

Maybe it’s because people think they aren’t capable of the same level of intimacy as God. It’s hard for us to comprehend God’s overall, encompassing knowledge of us. What’s wonderful about this, and worth celebrating, is that even with all His insight about us God loves us unconditionally.

It’s that same level of knowing that God waits patiently for us to pursue about Him. It’s the same level of love that He longs to experience from us. God wants us to experience a deeper level of intimacy with Him. The sooner we start that journey the better. 

“Lord, you know everything there is to know about me. You are so intimately aware of me, Lord. You read my heart like an open book and you know all the words I’m about to speak before I even start a sentence! You know every step I will take before my journey even begins.” Psalms 139:1, 3-4 TPT
