The Truth Is For Sale
”Buy the truth and sell it not; not only that, but also get discernment and judgment, instruction and understanding.“ Proverbs 23:23 AMPC
How do you buy the truth? Spend time with God, in His Word. It’s the same place you buy discernment, judgment, instruction, and understanding. You’re going to need them all. Why? Because the enemy loves to sell us lies and the reality is if we only buy the truth and don’t also buy discernment, judgment, instruction, and understanding, we will buy the lie of the enemy and sell the truth to pay for it.
You might be thinking, but my time is valuable and it seems there aren’t enough hours in the day. I don’t have time to read the Word and spend time with God the way I want to. It’s true, your time is valuable. That is why buying the truth is costly. It’s better to spend a little time every day in the Word than a chunk of time every now and then. Consistency will pay off.
Prioritizing God and being in His Word can be challenging when you first try to put it into practice. But, trust me, once you develop the habit it will become a desire and not a task or a chore. Is it going to cost you something? You bet it will. Is it worth it? Absolutely!
