Wait for Him

“Listen to me, all you godly ones: Love the Lord with passion! The Lord protects and preserves all those who are loyal to him. But he pays back in full all those who reject him in their pride. So cheer up! Take courage all you who love him. Wait for him to break through for you, all who trust in him!”  Psalms 31:23-24 TPT

I love the message of hope and encouragement that this verse brings!  There are times that we can find ourselves waiting and waiting for an answer from God and it seems as though it’s never going to happen.  That can be very discouraging and it causes us to want to give up hope.  Thankfully, David experienced the same things and wrote this verse to show us how to persevere.

David was trying to wake us up by saying; Listen to me, cheer up!  Because you’re loyal to God, He will protect and preserve you. Take courage, don’t let the enemy steal your joy or your hope.  Be patient and wait for the Lord to break through for you!  Because you are loyal to God and trust Him, He won’t let you down. When the time is right, He will bring an answer. In the meantime, love the Lord with passion!
