Wait For Him
“For from of old no one has heard nor perceived by the ear, nor has the eye seen a God besides You, Who works and shows Himself active on behalf of him who [earnestly] waits for Him.” Isaiah 64:4 AMPC
AMEN! The other day in my quiet time I heard God speak to me about this. He said, “When you get impatient, and move ahead of Me and My timing, you interrupt what I’m about to bring for you and you rob glory from Me to show My goodness on your behalf.”
Yes, that got my attention! I have a struggle at times waiting and being patient for things I need or want an answer to. Once I know the answer, I can wait for a long time before seeing it come to pass. It’s the unknown that gets me.
What God spoke to me is so true and I never looked at it that way. If I move ahead of God, I don’t give Him the opportunity to show up and show off and receive the glory He is due. I’m literally robbing myself of His blessing and stealing from Him at the same time!
God always has the very best for us and we often interrupt that when we move ahead of Him. We need to earnestly wait on Him and He will show Himself active on our behalf and it will be so much better than we can imagine.
